If I were omnipotent for a day … I’d mandate pickleball 2–3 times a week. It’s amazing how a bit of fun changes everything.

Aislinn Murray

If I were omnipotent for a day … I'd give everyone a superpower that only works when they use it to help someone else.

Chloe Campbell

If I were omnipotent for a day … I’d mandate that all world leaders must resolve their disputes over a game of Catan.

Fred Berger
Supply Chain Manager
If I were omnipotent for a day … I’d give everyone the ability to perform a flawless backflip, but I wouldn’t mention it and just see if anyone realises.

Drewie
Lunch Supervisor
If I were omnipotent for a day … I would make it so my dad had to stay home with me every day and also feed me lots of chicken!

Catch

If I were omnipotent for a day … I would make it a rule that dogs are allowed everywhere.

We think of sustainability as a pursuit of perfection. And it's this pursuit that dictates everything we do. It shapes the materials used for our products, the partners we choose to work with, right down to our choice of packing tape. No one can claim to be perfect, but it's the willingness to learn, evolve, and improve that puts the 'Eco' in Ecobin.

When it comes to waste sorting, there's a fine line between shaming people for getting it wrong and encouraging them to get it right. Our bins are all about the latter. Ecobins are a simple, ambient way to show kids at school, and grownups at work, "Here, it's easy if you try."

Habits built in childhood last a lifetime. That's why we partner with programs that are doing the important work of teaching the next generation to think green, like Little Sprouts and CERES. We also donate bins to preschools and primary schools across Australia, because teachers who care enough to push sustainability in their classrooms shouldn't have to campaign for the tools to do it.

Since 2018, every Ecobin has been assembled and shipped by the team at Marriott Industries, a Melbourne-based social enterprise that provides meaningful, hands-on training and purposeful work for people of all abilities. It's a partnership we're genuinely proud of and one we encourage more businesses to get behind.
