The bin does the thinking.

People make a split-second decision when choosing which bin to put their rubbish in. Unfortunately, they don't always make the correct choice. The consistent colour coding of Ecobins builds community muscle memory over time, making the right choice the obvious one.

(Because let's face it, few people stop to read the fine print on a bin while they're carrying a melting ice cream)

Our public spaces need to be protected. Our bins don't.

Our bins are built to take a beating so that your public spaces don't have to. Made with highly durable polypropylene, these bins can get kicked, rained on, sunbaked, you name it – but they just keep on truckin'.

Councils set the standard.

A well sorted public-bin system normalises the right behaviour everywhere else. Whether they realise it or not, residents follow the council's lead. If the bins in public spaces are a mess, why should they try at home? This isn't about councils doing their best; this is about empowering residents to follow suit.

Got Questions?

We’ve Got Answers.

Find everything you need to know about this collection - from materials and sizing to how each bin fits into your waste-sorting setup.

Are there bulk discounts available?

Yep. The more you order, the better the pricing. We work with councils of all sizes, so whether you’re kitting out a few community facilities or rolling bins across an entire postcode, get in touch and we’ll put together a quote that works.

Can I have these customised?

We can do custom colours as well as branding and graphics for larger orders. Some councils want their logo on the bins, others want specific signage for their local waste streams. If you’ve got something specific in mind, reach out at trashtalk@ecobin.com.au and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

Can the colour of the waste stream be changed?

Yes. Our standard colours match the Australian waste stream standards (red for landfill, yellow for mixed recycling, green for organics, blue for paper and cardboard), but we can produce bins in different colours if your council uses a different system. Just keep in mind that custom colours require a minimum order quantity.
