SOFT PLASTIC RECYCLING

Since REDcycle folded, many of us have been left holding the bag (literally). Now, with new pilot programs and smarter systems rolling out across the country, it's time to start collecting again, properly.

Supermarket Drop-Offs

Major supermarkets like Woolworths & Coles are working with the Soft Plastics Taskforce to reintriduce in-store collection points for soft plastics. The program has already resumed in over 100 NSW stores, with plans to expand to 500 locations by the end of June 2025, according to Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek.

Council & Community Drop-Offs

Some local councils and local community groups have stepped up and now offer soft plastics drop-off points or recycling centres themselves.
